It was a beautiful night in Providence last night. A perfect night for WaterFire. We enjoyed a leisurely walk down to the canal and through the throngs of people. We found the origami man set up making paper magic, as he is at every Waterfire, and the boys each got an origami bird from him. We got a frozen lemonade and found a place to sit and enjoy the night. After a bit Russell was beginning to doze on my lap and Max said he was tired and thought we should go home and get to bed, so we started our walk back to the car and got home and in bed by 10:00 pm.
"Origami man"

R.C. trying to fix Max's paper bird after he pulled on it too hard trying to make it fly, and Russell clinging happily to a light pole.
The first boat coming down the canal preparing to light the braziers. There was a man dancing with fire on the front of the boat, although it's hard to see.
